i am high on rock climbing

finally, i conquered the human torch. k actually it was only with one try

wats so hard bout this route. the tiles between the 1st and 2nd is like one leg length apart... and any tile for your hand to grab on is like 3/4 arm length above the leg.
which means initially u will have to first do a pull up to gain acertain height, after which the left leg have to be nicely placed on the higher tile for the leg to be rest on.(rest= struggling to find a certain pt whereby your CG is spread out evenly, wat makes things harder is that the tile is just small enough for your large toe to fit on it
using hand power, head power! movement of legs( retratcing it without slipping off the stone) and slowly adjusting your CG, the climber is needed to rest his butt cheek on the left leg, in this way the weight of a person will be a str line with upward thrust the left leg can give to lift the climber up.

apparently that was our last route to clear for the day as there was a couple "route hogging" which means staying at the wall for too long. they only became satisfied when they realise they have climbed the rainbow route 10 times already(rainbow=choosing any tile to step on)

chelle tried it last week... was cursing and swearing when she couldn't get it right... so of cos the sense of achievment will be to clear yest.

but no avil... she kept getting into the awdward position....so she gave up

philedell managed to complete the route with the help of ben... ben's belaying str was >
philedell's hands and legs' str man...

so of cos, when it was ben's turn, he was too shagged to do it liao... so it was my turn...
my thoughts are that pull up were nv that hard...
struggling man... hands were shaking...and were turning red damn fast... luckily... i could find the step... with the advice of terald(our grp's spiderman... it is quite obvious why he got that name right)... i finally found myself sitting on my heel... cool! even though i was shagged... still managed to clear the wall... standard was 5 B by the way...achievement for a novice don't u think.
